I agree that an acre seems really small. Also, blending artificial turf into the grass seems beyond ridiculous, in terms or cost. I can't imagine how that will possibly keep the park cleaner since the biggest cleanliness problem is not natural dirt but people who don't clean up after their dogs.

I am beginning to think this was a scam. I donated a fair amount of money and there is no sign of a park ever being built, and no sign of anyone with all the donated funds. What a rip-off

Seems like this project is moving at a snail's pace. Any word on progress or status or possible dates? I haven't seen or heard anything in a while.

So, what's the latest word on development & construction of the dog park….Environmental issues, design issues, permitting issues? I can't imagine raising money has been a problem.

I have been waiting and waiting for this dog park to open for years! I too am hesitant to donate any money towards it because it doesn't seem to be going anywhere! Does anyone have any updated information on this project? The rendering looks fabulous, but seriously, my dogs would just love a fence and maybe a few trees for shade. I'm sure it would cost less! Maybe if we got that far people would be more willing to help pay for improvements. Right now I drive them to the park off of Welton, which is a small fenced in area of dirt or to I-70 and Sheridan. I would love to just walk them to a dog park near us. They don't care if their park has a pavillion…
