Just to fill everyone in… this decision was reversed today. The funding will come from a tax posed on companies that drill on federal property in the state of CO. I guess all the complaining was heard!

Woah, that's pretty irresponsible of the state, to pull funding after construction began, not to mention that this will effect the Denver economy in the long run if we can't keep up a good community college. It makes sense when you see that the head of the appropriations committee is from Grand Junction.

I do not condone the State for pulling the funding. I believe it to be appalling. But I also find some fault in the UCD. They started construction without securing the funding. Yikes!

I can't believe the state pulled funding. It's already affecting businesses as denverinfill has already relocated. Just goes to show you can't trust anyone over 30.

A building is under construction, then the State pulls the dollars. Just a another example of "You can't trust the Government". What are any other organizations with State funding supposed to do with future construction projects?

Went to Democratic County Convention and heard all our state's Democrats say how important higher education and science is…Now I am left hoping for Bruce Benson to do something. Generally on this blog there is a lot about how a building looks, in all honesty the hole in the ground left in Auraria in minor compared to what that building was suppose to do.I guess I'll just have to drown my sorrows drinking liquor on Sundays. Guess the legislature understands what is important in Colorado more than I do. DISGUSTING.
