There is always something exciting about a new tower crane becoming part of the skyline. Over at Walnut and Park Avenue West, a new tower crane has been constructed.
The prefabricated parking garage has recently topped out and is nearly complete. Also, the foundation has been poured for the main building. Don’t worry, the garage has been set back so there won’t a 5-story blank wall facing part of the street.
This may not be a full update on 2300 Walnut, but a new tower crane is always worth a mention. This past weekend I also spotted a tower crane base at another development site. Can you guess where?
Where where???
Delgany
The Delgany Apartments is correct!
All this construction around Denver is really exciting. Do you think it will include enough units to ease rental prices? We just got our new rates for 2013, they are up over 10% from this year. I’m afraid I won’t be able to afford it downtown in the coming years if this continues.
Driving into town last weekend I counted a dozen cranes here and there – maybe 13. But I wasn’t sure whether I had counted one twice or not. It was awesome!
Element 47 or AMLI Riverfront
Neither. I believe this is Mill Creek’s deal. I think they may just be calling it 2300 Walnut
Does anyone know what’s going in at 20th and Market? It is a reno of an existing building, not an infill, but I haven’t been able to find any info on if it is commercial or residential. There’s a sign that says “There goes the neighborhood.”
I think I heard that it will a Soopers or Safeway…not 100% sure if that’s correct though.
It’s a new rooftop patio bar, which will be very similar to the Tavyrn across the street. It’s a pretty cool design and should add one more hip spot for people to drink up before Rockies games.
It will be a restaurant or bar.
