While I was out shooting the Summer 2013 Hole-in-the-Ground Census, I noticed something different along 15th Street. The Delgany Apartments project is now up to 4-stories and is roughly the same height as the Museum of Contemporary Art. Now that the underground parking and foundation work is more or less complete, we should start to see this structure rise quickly. It’s quite amazing how much of an impact a 4-story building can have in certain area and to think, this is going to rise 10-stories!
As a refresher, the 10-story Delgany Apartments will add 284 rental units to the Union Station neighborhood. The ground floor will feature four townhomes along with 4,000 square feet of space that may be used by the Museum of Contemporary Art. Completion for this project is expected in early 2014.
