Highland District

Note: the Highland district officially extends north to W. 38th Avenue and west to Federal; however, the vast majority of infill projects are located south of W. 35th Avenue and east of Clay Street. Consequently, those are the northern and western boundaries used for Highland on this website.

Highland lies on the bluff northwest of Downtown and is one of the city's oldest districts, featuring Victorian-era homes and churches, and several neighborhood commercial blocks where former streetcars used to stop. With its proximity to Downtown, great skyline views, and historic charm, Highland has seen a flurry of infill projects and building renovations. After a period of decline, Highland has again become one of Downtown's most vibrant and beautiful urban districts.

Click on Subarea A or B to view the projects in that part of Highland.
