A few weeks ago I speculated as to when the Four Seasons would get topped off with its 75-foot tall mast. I guessed September 5. I just learned that the mast will be installed in a big ceremony on Wednesday, August 19. Excellent!
EDIT – Wednesday, August 19:
I’ve learned that there was a delay in the fabrication of the mast so the topping-off will now occur in mid-September instead.
Welcome. Denver's New 4th Tallest
Excellent.
I have seen both Spire and the Four Seasons go up from my office window right across Speer. I'm excited to see this. Watch party at my office? Who'll bring the beer?
Cool – why didn't they ever move the stupid cam upward so we could watch the last part of the structure? The windows are taking forever on the top…
Hot-diggety! Any more details, like time of day? Or a link where such details might be found?
Does anybody know how their sales are going?
A great view of downtown and the new building is from the Hampden Avenue overpass of I-25.
A big part of me smells doom on the condo sales at the Four Seasons. Don't get me wrong–I think it's a great looking building and I'd LOVE to live there, but it's priced so much far and above anything in downtown. I'm not sure if they're going to find 100+ people to pay that. Hope I'm wrong.
Alright, I had to go back and check what my guess was because I totally forgot it and my reasoning behind it.
But my guess was "a little before September" because of the time the units were to open, so I'm feeling pretty good about guessing August 19.
I probably won't get to see it live, but I can't wait for Denver's first spire to be in place! The moment it is bolted in will surely be the fastest height increase for any building in the history of Denver.
From the North Metro area in Broomfield, Westminster and parts of Arvada, a hill completely blocks view of Downtown. All you can see are the tops of Denver's Big Three – Republic Plaza, the Qwest building and the Cash Register. I am excited to see if the tip of this tower is just baaaarely visible in the mix.
As far as condo sales, I looked on the 4S website and the lowest priced units are SOLD OUT as are the two 10 million dollar penthouses….doesn't sound like a bad start. Also I was over by One Lincoln Park the other evening and noticed a huge jump in the number of "lit units" as opposed to the last time I was down there and there were only like 6 or so.
I am not sure the picture is as rosy. From what i have been hearing sales at One Lincoln Park and the Spire have been disappointing so far. Hope that changes. Denver deserves a few more of these beautiful buildings.
So whatever happen to tabor II and the union station project?
what time is the cerimony? Anyone?
That is tomorrow !
Well, I checked on the top of the four seasons from my back yard all day and there was no tower added.
The topping off must have been postponed.
Anybody have more info?
Two Tabor has been put on hold again, due to the rough economic climate at the moment. Chances are that Two Tabor will go through another redesign in the meantime.
I haven't heard much about what's going on at Union Station…
On the Four Seasons: I am really bummed about the topping off delay 🙁 Guess we gotta wait a month. On the plus side, most of the exterior work will be done by then.
From the South End of town, years ago downtown looked small with the three stale boxes but now your eyes re-ajust and Downtown has good width. I know this concept is unpopular on this site but I'm still waiting on the height and light it up.
Walking to school today, I saw the mast laying there on the ground. Possibly soon it will be put up??
It's up!
