Last week we stopped by Riverview at 1700 Platte to take a few photos for an update since something new appeared at the site. These:
Let’s take a quick tour around the perimeter of the big hole that will become the project’s underground parking levels. From the north corner looking toward downtown and the Nichols Building:
From the west corner looking east:
From the south corner looking north toward Interstate 25 and Central Street beyond:
And finally, let’s take a look at this project from above, thanks to my blog partner Ryan’s little flying machine thingy:
Riverview at 1700 Platte will bring 210,000 square feet of office space and over 9,000 square feet of ground-floor retail to one of Lower Highland’s most walkable streets.
So glad that there was enough foresight to put in the park along the river before the area got built out. This will continue to be a real gem for Denver. That last picture will be postcard quality once the development is finished.
Me too, I also think the design for this block looks really well done and will look new/contemporary for a while to come. I have not been to this side of LoHi for a while, is there room for a lot more corporate/commercial stuff to be built over there or will the construction of office space begin moving south toward Upper Downtown once LoDo fills out?
Love the new site. Now please add lightbox so we can see the images at scale.
