Galvanize 2.0 on Platte Street in Lower Highland is coming along nicely. Our last update on Galvanize 2.0 was in July when the structure topped off. We now have glass!

Galvanize 2.0 appears to be on pace for a spring 2015 opening.
I guess. Okay, I support development along the river, but a box like this is not what I had in mind.
I like this building very much. Modern, light-filled, and bold color scheme. The apartments next to it I never did like. They look like they were transplanted from a ski resort. The synthetic stucco looks particularly cheap and tacky.
On second look, the burnt orange may just be a vapor barrier or something. I Like the color. Hopefully the actual siding or brick want be totally bland or “neutral.”
