Over the past four months, Alexan Cherry Creek has been making great progress! Since this is an eight story project, wood framing cannot be used whereas steel and/or concrete are required.
Look familiar? This is the same steel system being used in the Alexan Uptown project. As a refresher, here is a description of the steel system:
The steel used for the structure is a fairly new technology; they are using what is called the Prescient system. Each steel beam is prefabricated and snaps into place; there is no need for welding.
Alexan Cherry Creek is currently up three stories, with work beginning on the fourth. Because of the Prescient system, we should see this go up fairly quickly.
We have a lot of infill coming your way this week!
Nice to see the density infill!
Cold hard steel!
I live right down the block and have been watching this building go up the past year… since you took the photos, they’re already starting on the sixth floor!
