A new housing project is coming to the south end of the Baker neighborhood. Situated just a couple blocks from the Alameda light-rail station, the Atlantis Apartments are going to be providing 60 homes for those with disabilities while replacing an outdated facility. To get you oriented, here is an aerial map with the project site outlined.

The Atlantis Community, the developer of this project, is a non-profit organization that advocates for all people with disabilities in the community. Their newest project, the Atlantis Apartments, will consist of one and two-bedroom apartments that are designed to be adaptable, accessible, and affordable. In addition, the ground floor will consist of 5,140 square feet of office and training space, run by the Atlantis Community, along with a 1,250 square foot community room. Construction is already underway as the existing building is currently getting vacated. Pinkard Construction is the team building this project.

The Atlantis Apartments will be a great addition to the Baker community while adding a nice amount of density around the Alameda Station.
