Let’s swing over to another greatly impacting project, the 18th and Market Apartments. It’s been a few months since we last visited, and while the project seems to be moving slowly, most of the underground floors are now complete. As of this past weekend, the first concrete supports are officially above the street-level.
Here is one more look at the first above-the-street-level section from 18th Street and Market Street.
It’s a very exciting sight to see this project go vertical, as it is replacing one of the worst parking lots in Downtown Denver.
Are these apartments going to be affordable housing?
I’m sure there will be a small percentage in the building that are, but only a few
I’m glad development is happening on all of these parking lots – just wish they would have more interesting designs. They all look the same!!
