1650 Wewatta Update #1

Piggybacking off of Ken’s Union Station update, I am also happy to announce that construction for the 1650 Wewatta tower has commenced. This is the 21-story tower that is going to provide 288 apartment units to this neighborhood. For a refresh on the renderings, head on over here.

The pictures are pretty self explanatory. Earth moving has begun and we will probably see foundation poured within the next few weeks. What I find very intriguing about this tower is how close it sits to the train canopy which will add a great backdrop when you are boarding or leaving a train.

There are many projects on the boards for the Union Station neighborhood. I hope there are  many more we will see kick off this year!

Just curious. I hear about trains, buses and shuttles. Are there plans for car rental kiosks at Union Station for travelers who arrive via train from the airport?
