For a couple of months now, CB Richard Ellis has had a sign at the corner of 12th and Lincoln on Block 042-B promoting “New 170,000 SF Office for Lease.” The site is immediately south of the ING Building which fronts along 13th Avenue between Broadway and Lincoln. So far I haven’t found out much about this proposal, such as number of floors, the building design, project schedule, etc. Here’s the sign:
But, this past week, there was some activity at the site. Thank you to several of you who brought this to my attention… the old brick buildings that occupied the center of the block–a former auto repair shop, I believe–were demolished this past week! Check it out:
I’ll keep you posted when I learn more about this project.
I was messing around with the square footage of the area and all, i think i came up with 12 stories.
I hope its in the 8-13 range. More density is always good.
Denver Regional Council of Governments will be moving into the ING building late November.
it looks like something is about to happen in the vicinity of 1900 16th
There is construction fence up around 1900 16th. Also, I've seen the new rendering and there looks like a residential component will be added to this project in the future.
Ken, you haven't updated the scoreboard. I'm getting a little worried. Anyways, anything going on for buzz gellars project?
Awesome.
I live not far from there.
the ING building is one of the nice looking ones in the city i sure hope that they don't place an ugly one next to it.
I hope that if they build something next to the ING building it compliments it as well – its a great building.
Ken when you gona update this page? i feel like you are slackin a bit! jk but, we seem to be in crisis mode with the spire, no? that ugly slab of construction has just been sitting there for weeks.
I live on a high floor at 1600 Glenarm, so my window looks directly down on the site…
Furthermore, HOW LONG is it going to take them to construct the sales center for 1401 Lawrence?
It was supposed to be open early fall, with advanced viewings available this summer… yet, they are still working on it..
Damn they are slow around here
This location was also floated as one of the possible site for relocating the Colorado History Museum, was it not?
If you want to see this section get built, call the phone numbers on the sign and say that your business is interested in renting the space. If 20 people a week do it, the developers will think that demand is high and they'll start planning a project right away.
It seems like the ING building is a little out of place on this section of Lincoln. It's a nice looking building, but I think it would have looked better in the downtown core.
…I'm totally kidding, by the way.
