Thanks to Vicki H. from Uptown comes this great perspective on how the Park Avenue Lofts (originally Uptown Apartments) project is coming along at the corner of Park Avenue, E. 20th Avenue, and Washington Street (project #20 on the Uptown page):

I'm in the area quite a bit and have watched this project develop. It looks like all 5 floors are built but the roof will add nearly a floor's worth in height.
And since I'm around that area a lot, I'm wondering, what are they doing at the church next to the Safeway?
Matt,
That church building, which was originally used by the Shorter Community African Methodist Episcopal Church (now located near Colorado Blvd. and MLK), houses the Cleo Parker Robinson dance company and school.
Back in 2003, when the Denver Housing Authority announced it had received a grant from HUD for the East Village redevelopment, part of the redevelopment was to include a "wellness and fitness center" to be developed by Cleo Parker Robinson. I think it was supposed to go into the space between the church building and the Thomas Bean Tower next door.
I haven't heard anything about this in a while, but I've been assuming that's what the new construction is.
