Previously when I did an update on this project we didn’t know the name of it but this development was located at 1560 Boulder. The Highland Bridge Lofts have begun to go vertical filling yet another barren wasteland in one of our vibrant downtown neighborhoods.
Here we are looking at the views both up and down 16th Street. The base floor has been set and they are starting to work on the second floor.
Taking a peek from the back end you can see a lot of the timber laid out ready to be used for the upper 4 stories of the structure. This ‘U’ shape structure is going to top out at a total of 5-stories.
This development will serve this downtown neighborhood with 130 apartment units. Another great addition for the Lower Highlands neighborhood!
An unfortunate and bland piece of architecture.
I think it’s a sharp, sleek looking building. Whatever turns you on.
Keep in mind that, as was pointed out by a commenter on a different post a while back, most of these apartment renderings are deliberately bland with their material rendering. This does not necessarily mean that they are using stucco or EIFS even though the walls appear flat and textureless on the rendering. Such a distinction makes a BIG difference in the way the building actually turns out.
If you go to the architects website, you can see some updated renderings. Although it is still hard to tell what the actual wall materials will be, the image appear less bland than that earlier image.

I’d like to see some info about the project going up on Ogden in the middle of the block between E. 11th Ave. & E. 12th Ave. Anyone know any details? It’s looking pretty good – nice exterior finishes.
It would be nice to see updates about some of the other projects throughout Capitol Hill as well – like the redo of the old apartments at E. 13th Ave. and Downing St., etc.
Any ideas as to what retail is going in at this Highland Bridge apt complex? A waitress at Lola thought an Irish Pub. anyone?
best,
I heard maybe Snooze.
