Don’t be confused by the name! This is a development that has been going on for a while but went through some name changes. Formally 1560 Boulder & Highland Bridge Lofts, Line 28 at LoHi is the official name. Line 28 was the original streetcar line that ran through this property. It’s always nice to see a little piece of history tied into new properties even if it’s just in the name.
Line 28 has been topped out for quite some time now and the tower crane has been taken down. Today they were working on installing the glass.
On the back side, you can see some of the facade starting to go up. The brick looks a lot more vibrant then the renderings on the project’s website. Some workers at the local restaurant let me up on the third floor of their building and were expressing how excited they are to see projects like this popping up around downtown and their neighborhood. It’s always nice to hear good words about infill.
Line 28 at LoHi is expected to open late 2012. This development provides the perfect amount of density to the Lower Highlands neighborhood with many more projects like it in the works.
