Heading up the street from One City Block, 1756 Clarkson has made quite a bit of progress since we last dropped by. As a refresher, 1756 Clarkson will be a 5-story apartment building adding 60 rental units to the Uptown neighborhood.
Most of the buildings that occupy Clarkson Street between 17th and 18th Avenue are either single family homes or residential buildings that rise at most two stories. That being said, this 5-story project really makes an impact and adds a lot of density to this block.
As far as the facade is concerned, it looks like Uptown will be treated with another brick building!
1756 Clarkson is expected to be complete and open for occupancy by this fall. This isn’t a particularly large project but if fills in a fairly large gap on Clarkson restoring a little bit more of Uptown’s urban fabric.
