Since our last update in September, The Triangle Building, located at 16th Street and Wewatta, has topped out at 10-stories, and the glass facade has started to go up.
One unique feature of the Triangle Building is its very sharp edges, which heavily contrast the curvy Gates building across the street. Just this fall, Wewatta Street has gone under a huge transformation, which you can see in the second photo. It’s amazing what a difference two buildings can make.
Here are two additional views of the building. Once the clouds cleared, the glass reflected a great deep blue sky.
Progress is quickly being made on the Triangle Building. I’m sure within the next few weeks, the glass facade will reach the top of the building; we will check back then!
Thanks once again for the info and beautiful photos, Ryan!
Awesome! I was down there on Saturday, this is really going to be a beautiful building. Anyone know when they are supposed to start on the hotel and office across the street?
I was wondering the same thing, originally it was supposed to start in June. The 12 story Kimpton hotel and 5 story office building are the missing pieces in the development of 16th Street in that area. Ken do you have any news on that project?
It looks like the development on 16th, between Chestnut and Wewatta is up to 7 stories! Any updates on that? I can’t even remember what the final renderings looked like… :/
I think you’re talking about 1601 Wewatta: https://denverinfill.com/tag/1601-wewatta
The glass on this building looks great. I’m a big fan of this one. Do you know if there have been any updates to the bike station next to this building? Will it open at the same time as the rest of the building, or later… or earlier?
And starting a couple of days ago (12/10), there is a Christmas tree, with lights, atop the Triangle building. Very festive! Glad to see the progress on this building.
