Additional height and density are on their way to the St. Anthony’s Redevelopment site. A new mid-rise development, south of Sloan’s Lake, has been under construction since May of 2017. Lakehouse, located between Stuart and Raleigh along West 17th Avenue, is set to rise 12 stories and provide 196 total homes broken down into 183 condos, and 13 rowhomes. In addition, there will be 6,000 square feet of restaurant-oriented retail space.
Below, you will find an aerial photo of the project site. Lakehouse will occupy a two-acre block and rise to become the second tallest structure in the neighborhood.
Seventy percent of the building’s facade will be covered in glass. The remaining thirty percent will showcase a mixture of concrete, metal, and wood. The project is designed by RNL Design. The general contractor is GH Phipps. NAVA Real Estate Development is the developer.
NAVA is pursuing the WELL Building Certification, which calls for heavy investment in amenities that optimize residents’ health and well being. Therefore, the condominium tower will be home to a yoga studio and sauna. An open-air pool, gym, and private garden will overlook Sloan’s Lake.
Here are a handful of current photos for the site. The church on site will be preserved and possibly turned into an event space. As mentioned above, this tower will add significant height to the area.
Lakehouse is expected to deliver in third quarter of 2019. We will keep you posted with any updates on this project as it continues to add height to the West Colfax area.
I like the work NAVA is doing, would love to see them do something more vertical in/around the CBD.
Thanks for coming out to the West side. Does the WELL certification include LEED as well?
Hi Tom, WELL are LEED are two separate certifications. Well is focused on people while LEED is focused on the systems within the building. Thanks for commenting! And stay tuned, more projects from the west side to come!
Any info on the nearby lots?
It’s not a big deal, but just so ya know, the lake and the neighborhood are technically Sloan Lake, not Sloan’s Lake. The development area is Sloans – no apostrophe. I grew up in the area and yes, we would always call the lake and the area, “Sloan’s Lake”, but it’s not correct.
