Construction is wrapping up on a new eight-story, 70,000 square foot office building in Cherry Creek North. In addition, this building is the first of its kind in the neighborhood as it features an all glass facade. We visited this project site a few times from demolition of the old building to various stages of the vertical construction. Visit the link below to visit the previous posts.
Financial House adds a splash of modern architecture along East 2nd Avenue. As you can see prominently from this angle, a significant setback makes this building not another standard box.
Below are two more views of the building from the East 2nd Avenue and Detroit Street intersection and from Detroit Street looking south.
Financial House features 5,000 square feet of retail which is taken up by Amazon Books.
Here is one last photo of the project, looking west, showing its surroundings and place on the Cherry Creek skyline. East 2nd Avenue is becoming a very dense corridor while still maintaining a large amount of ground floor retail.
Welcome to Cherry Creek North, Financial House!
Thank you for the update. Great to see Cherry Creek still ticking along.
I notice a tower crane in the last photo. What project is that?
I checked your project map and didn’t see anything that seems to coincide with that location. Thanks!
It’s a new project! I should have a post up this week about it.
Great photos, I thought this was a high res rendering at first glance.
Dan, I believe that’s the 260 North project
Thank you Elijah!
Thanks for all the great work you guys do!
I like this building overall but feel the ground floor retail frontage is a big miss. It doesn’t have a very inviting feel for Amazon Books, no canopies or difference in material to distinguish the retail space from the office space above. All of the glass is also really hot as you walk by without any kind of shade or articulation in the facade. The mixed-use project at 250 Columbine, for example, does a much better job with its retail spaces along Columbine.
