As proposals start to ramp up in the Golden Triangle, there is currently only one project under construction in the neighborhood; the 17-story 10th and Acoma project. In the near future, we will post a Golden Triangle roundup highlighting the new proposals but for today, we will just be focusing on the construction progress of 10th and Acoma.
Fully topped out, we can see the final form of 10th and Acoma. In addition, the brick facade work is coming along nicely. Here are a few photos from around the project.
The podium is a mix of residential units and parking. On the street-facing side, it is entirely comprised of residential units. As soon as the lots across the street, and at West 9th Avenue develop, the exposed garage will be hidden.
10th and Acoma should be wrapping up construction mid to late summer.
I’m happy to see a bit more reflective glass on 10th/Acoma than some other recent mid-rise projects. Never really understood why some developers chose see through glass for highly visible residential projects – union station area comes to mind.
I think this is honestly one of the more attractive midrises in Golden Triangle. I hope the way they concealed the parking podium is mirrored in other projects
I like the set back upper floors and the use of brick (presumably facade) though I do find it a bit monotonous at street level. Not currently being in the metro area to check it out, any chance of a look in on 9th & Colorado in Hale sometime soon? Google Street View is very out of date and I’m curious about the progress they’ve made.
Ryan – Do you know if the city is still planning on investing in the 5280 Trail? I believe the original plans included a significant stretch along Acoma.
Hi Jack, yes, the city and the DDP are launching the first implementation steps for the 5280 this summer/fall, starting with some initial branding signage and stencils, some public art/streetscape elements, and some 5280 Trail kick-off community events. Each of the six neighborhoods/districts through which the 5280 runs has its own implementation task force. Stay tuned!
