Yesterday, crews were busy at the 19th and Chestnut project site installing a blue tower crane that will reside at the project for the next year or so. As you all know, we, here at DenverInfill, love tower cranes, and today, we have a very detailed tower crane post, including a time-lapse of the entire event.
Let’s begin with a bunch of photos of the different sections going in. Each of the galleries below scrolls, so keep an eye out for the arrows at each end.
Vertical Sections (tower mast, apex, booth):
Horizontal Sections (jib, trolley, winch, counterweights):
Here we have a complete Comansa flat-top (or topless) tower crane provided by Stafford Crane Group. Below is a photo of the fully assembled tower crane and a time-lapse of the entire installation.
It’s exciting to see all the progress being made in this corner of Union Station!
Awesome photos and time lapse. Thanks
Wow! Thanks for documenting this. So cool. And that time-lapse was really engaging. I couldn’t take my eyes off it.
Hey Ryan, have you seen any renderings yet for 2950 Arkins Ct in RiNo? Saw crews have been busy working on the land over there.
Hey Alec, I just pulled the docs for that project and there are renderings in the construction permit. I’ll make sure to get this project when I head up to River North next. Thanks for the heads up!
Ryan – how does one pull construction docs for projects? I’ve always wondered how you guys get so many renderings!
Here’s a quick overview I wrote up on Reddit:

I’d love to get a look at the East Evans corridor sometime. It’s probably all hinging on https://monacoevansdenver.com/ but who knows.
