Over the past couple of months, a handful of projects have kicked off to the north of Downtown Denver. Our first stop is in Union Station North, where site preparations are underway for 3000 Huron, formally known as 2980 Huron mentioned in our previous posts. The details of the project mostly remain the same from when we first announced it; a 13-story building featuring 300 apartment homes, over 229 structured parking spaces.

The warehouse that resided on the project site has since been demolished, with the parcel clear and ready for construction. Below are a few photos of the project site and a single photo from the summer showing the demolition of the warehouse.

Here is a partial rendering and line drawing of the building form to give you a good idea of how the building will look. The previous rendition of this project featured more of an “L” shaped design, whereas this new design is “C” shaped. The architect on record is Shear’s Adkins Rockmore, with Brinkmann Constructors behind the construction.

Edit (2021-10-26 7:35PM): We added an additional rendering below which shows more of the project.

With not too many parcels left in Union Station North, it is great to see another lot maximize on its allowable density. 3000 Huron will roughly match the height of X Denver, making it also stand out in a sea of five-story buildings throughout the neighborhood.
