Another infill development in Downtown Denver has moved from the “proposed” to the “under construction” category.
In the almost-built-out Riverfront Park area, construction recently started on AMLI’s Riverfront Green project at 18th and Little Raven. Riverfront Green will add 304 residential units in a seven-story building that steps down to four stories along Little Raven. Click here for our first post on this development back in July 2015.
Before we get to the construction photos, we happen to have brand new renderings of Riverfront Green, thanks to John from Studio PBA and Andy from AMLI.

Construction just got started, so the project is still early in the hole-in-the-ground stage.

We will swing by Riverfront Green in the fall to check in on the construction progress.
It’s to bad that just another apartment building will be on this site. Does it have any commercial space below? I would have loved to have seen this location incorporate a beautiful restaurant patio so guests could enjoy the views and activities in the park.
Snooze…
Zoning for this site was strictly for residential uses, whether for sale or for rent, and did not allow any retail uses. The Commons Park PUD focused the retail on the area around the Millienium Bridge to concentrate and create a meaningful core.
I like this okay…the green coloring is pretty interesting. You don’t see it that often and it’s a nice piney shade. Kind of which they used it throughout actually. I also think four-stories is the right choice for the park side of the lot so Nothing incredible, but it’ll fit well in this spot.
According to the architects website, the yellow, green and blue (which I hope is still there) sections will composed of glazed bricks. So those sections should have a little bit of a sheen, which will provide a much more interesting exterior than plain bricks.
