Lots to talk about today…
19th and Logan: The empty parking lot across the street from Tower on the Park has a fence up around it. Back in the Spring there was a sign at that corner offering it as a redevelopment site, and in May, the property was sold to CV7 LLC. CV7 is part of New York-based Follieri Group, which specializes in land developement and affordable housing for the Catholic Church. Does anyone out there know anything about an infill project coming to this site?
Spire: Property owners in the vicinity of 14th and Champa recently received official notice from the contractor hired to build the Spire that excavation at the surface parking lot site would begin in October. Looks like groundbreaking for the 41-story tower should be occuring within a month!
New Infill Project for NE Downtown: Did you catch the article yesterday by John Rebchook of the Rocky Mountain News about the big new infill project planned for Northeast Downtown? If not, here it is: Mixed-Use Project Targets Curtis Park. The $225 million project would cover most of the blocks bounded by Glenarm, 21st, Welton, and Park Avenue.
New Infill Project for RiverNorth: A 100-unit residential project targeted to the homeless and working poor is planned for 3400 Park Avenue West, next to the Railyard Marketplace (see Project #3 on the RiverNorth page). Check out this press release by the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless and Renaissance Housing Development Corporation… it even includes a rendering: Renaissance Riverfront Lofts
14th Lawrence: The Great Gulf Group has a project website up and running for its 55-story condo tower at 14th and Lawrence. There’s not much content yet, but another good sign the project is moving forward: http://www.greatgulfdenver.com/
