We’ve had great turnouts this summer at our DenverInfill walking tours of the Union Station project…over 100 people on the last three tours. If you haven’t been on one of our tours yet, then you’re missing out!
Join me for our next tour, Saturday, August 18, 2012, to learn all about the incredible transformation that’s happening around Denver Union Station. Here’s what’s in progress: one of the largest multi-modal transit hubs in the country, three major public spaces, the restoration of the historic station, and numerous private-sector mixed-use developments. It’s all happening right here in Downtown Denver… right now!
Here’s how it works: Head on down to the LoDo side of the historic station at about 9:50 AM—meet at the corner of 17th and Wynkoop. Whoever shows up, that will be our tour group. We’ll start promptly at 10:00 AM and conclude at 11:15 AM at the new light rail station by the Millennium Bridge. The suggested donation for the tour is $10 per person and all proceeds go to the non-profit Student Chapter of the American Planning Association at the University of Colorado Denver, but you are absolutely more than welcome to take the tour whether you make a donation or not.
Please join me this Saturday for a fine walkabout and conversation about Denver Union Station… and don’t forget your camera!
PLEASE NOTE: Our normal tour schedule is the first and third Saturdays of each month. However, with the first Saturday in September being in the middle of the Labor Day holiday weekend, we will not be giving a tour on Saturday, September 1, 2012. Therefore, our only tour in September will be on the third Saturday, September 15, 2012.
