Today we are heading over to the Capitol Hill neighborhood to check in on the 8th and Emerson apartments. This may not be particularly large infill like we’ve been seeing but, it’s still filling a gap in an already built-out part of Capitol Hill.
Wood framing has been climbing up and is currently up to the second floor out of a total of three. There is a mix of infill on 8th Avenue ranging from towers to 2-story town-homes making this project a great in between filler building.
The 8th and Emerson apartments are going to provide 42-units with underground parking (one space per unit). Construction should be complete by summer.
Altho it’s not a former parking lot, it is good to see something coming out of the ground on a parcel that had been vacant for so long. Looking forward to seeing this take shape.
The best thing about this is the underground parking – this is how it should be done!
