The River North district is booming, and the redevelopment projects transforming the neighborhood continue with the addition of Broadstone RiNo, located at the corner of 31st Street and Brighton Boulevard. To get you oriented, here’s a Google Earth image with the site outlined:
Broadstone RiNo is being developed by Alliance Residential, who recently completed Broadstone Blake Street (a final update post on that project is in the works). Broadstone RiNo will include 270 apartments in three attached buildings of four and five stories in height. Here’s a rendering, courtesy of Alliance Residential and their project architect, Parikh Stevens Architects:
Construction has already started, as you can see from this photo I took this morning:
Broadstone RiNo is set to be completed by the summer of 2016.
Excellent! Any news on the new hotel on Brighton Blvd. that is scheduled to begin later this month?
The Source did make an announcement as such on their Facebook page.
I’m sure we’ll see a post here soon. Both Ken & Ryan have been out (per a DenverInfill post on Facebook).
Yes, we’ll do a post on the Source hotel soon. We have a lot of catching up to do! Ryan was in Los Angeles and Chicago while I was away for two weeks exploring Krakow, Prague, and Budapest!
Welcome back! Was missing all of the updates.
I guess it is better than what is there. I only wish there would be some kind of river focused development along the Platte.
I believe that Industry is planning some row houses and a river front park type of thing as phase 3 following the apartment building that is going into the current parking lot after the parking deck is finished.
That sounds great hopefully Ken will dig up some more info on this phase. I also hope to see more river-focused development in this area and along Platte Street.
There’s this:

It’s at Urbanism because it was part of the adaptive reuse discussion of the original building, but we will cover the rest at Infill. I was past there the other day and the Industry parking garage is coming along nicely.
I always thought development would be better off fronting Arkins Ct. It would make a lovely river promenade compared to the current desolation of brighton blvd.
There’s so much going on in this area it’s hard to keep track of it all but there are a couple of projects still early in concept design that will face Arkins. Also, Arkins will be realigned for a few blocks to make way for a new park along the river.
Ken; Any chance you will do a recap about your visit to Prague? It would be interesting to get your perspective/see pix, etc. etc. of the urban fabric of that city….
Yes, that’s my plan.
I like this building, its kinda funky and cute with the cubes on either side.
Personally, I think projects like this and the new one at Denargo only make the work that Zeppelin is doing look that much better.
Being so close to the river is this considered a flood plain?
Sad to see the current industrial building on this will not be adapted and reused. Could have been very cool. Look what industry did to their existing building. This building could have been just as cool if not better. Disappointment.
