Terraza Del Sol is now completely enclosed with the exterior completed except for the murals, which are planned to be completed in the spring of 2017. This winter residents will begin moving in (December/January) and Mi Casa Resource Center will begin their build-out of 30,000 square feet of office and community space for their new headquarters, with an expected move-in during the summer of 2017 as originally scheduled. Looking south from Alameda down Grove Street, the unique architectural details of the Del Sol building stand out with undulating walls on the second and third floors. From this perspective, you can also see the hint of color protruding from the apartments above the planned office space.

Detached sidewalks are a welcomed streetscape enhancement in a neighborhood with primarily attached sidewalks with mountable curbs.

Additional green elements on the exterior of the building include planters on the second floor that are framed in with the same brick façade as the first floor office space, and street trees planted along Grove Street, Hazel Court, and Alameda Avenue.

I look forward to our final update in 2017 when this building will be filled with families and the beige walls will be full of colorful murals.
