Today’s update on the office project that Unico Properties is building next to the Highland Bridge includes two bits of news. First, as you may have guessed from the post title, the project has a new name: The Circa Building. Previously, the project was known as 1615 Platte. Second, we have updated renderings, courtesy of project architect Open Studio Architecture. The design looks largely the same as before, just more refined. Take a look!
No project update would be complete without a few construction photos! This is the view from Platte Street looking west toward the Highland Bridge:
Here’s the view from the Highland Bridge ramp looking north and panning from Interstate 25 on the left in the first image toward the intersection of 16th and Platte off to the right in the third image.
Let’s wrap this up with one more shot, this time from across the highway looking southeast toward Downtown Denver and the forest of cranes in the vicinity. In this image we can also see the red self-erecting portable crane being used at The Circa Building site—a crane that was not counted in Ryan’s recent Tower Crane Census since we only tally the anchored-to-the-earth type cranes.
The Circa Building will offer 80,000 SF of office space and about 10,000 SF of ground-floor restaurant/retail space. The project is aiming for a Spring 2018 opening.
