Let’s head over to the Uptown neighborhood and check on the 5280 Senior Residences going up at East 16th Avenue and Pennsylvania Street. This is a senior housing development that will contribute 99 residential units to the neighborhood.
While relatively new to Denver, we are starting to see a trend with lightweight steel framing in new residential projects. Typically, this framing system constitutes to a faster build and is especially good for projects taller than six-stories, the maximum height for wood framing.
The steel structure for the second floor is complete with work beginning on the third. The 5280 Senior Residences will top out at six-stories.
The $30 million project is expected to open this fall.
