We have more good news this week as another project is kicking off, this time in the Golden Triangle. Greystar Speer Boulevard, which we announced back in August, now has construction activity on the project site. This lines up with Greystar Real Estate Partners’ expectation to break ground this month. As a refresher, this project will rise 16-stories containing 302 apartment units, and 12,000 square feet of ground floor retail.
To remind you what Greystar Speer Boulevard will look like, here are the two project renderings courtesy of Ziegler Cooper, the project’s architect.
Now for some progress photos! In the panorama below, you can clearly see how large of a site this project will be taking. It will add significant density while eradicating one of the many surface lots in the Golden Triangle.
There was a single story retail building on the site that has now been demolished along with some of the surface parking lot. Here are two street level photos of the progress.
This is a very exciting project for Downtown Denver and the Golden Triangle neighborhood. We will swing back around when excavation begins!
I didn’t realize how close the mountains were to this project. It looks like it could almost be ski in/out.
I guess people from Houston don’t have a very good conception of Denver’s relationship to the mountains.
Good idea to hire an out-of-state firm who has no stake in, or understanding of their site…
Good one
So sad to lose our beautiful mountain view 🙁
More full-block, mid-rise BS…
Its half of an already small block.
same landship approach though
Ken, Why don’t you have this on your Projects Map?
In addition to being ski in/out, Cherry Creek just got one major upgrade. Lucious green grass replacing concrete retaining wall and dirt/rock.
