In Denver’s booming River North neighborhood on the northeastern edge of Downtown, Mill Creek Residential‘s Modera River North Arts project is moving right along. In November when we last checked in on this project, the building was starting to rise above street level. Now it’s all topped off and the exterior facade and windows are going in.
Located along the southeast side of Blake Street between 28th and 29th, Modera River North Arts will provide 182 new homes in the popular urban neighborhood. Here are some recent construction photos, starting with the corner views at 28th and 29th streets. Shaw Construction is the general contractor.
The center of the building facing Blake Street includes the main entry and two large outdoor courtyards on the second level.
For what the development will look like upon completion, check out this new rendering from the project architect, Studio PBA.
We’ll stop by for the final update when Modera River North Arts opens in 2018.
I really like this modern look. I know I couldn’t afford to live in it but I’m glad for someone else who can and that it brings more people and life into the core area.
I find this design absolutely horrendous
Another mash-up of three buildings. If the three different aesthetics were separated and articulated into three separate buildings, it would have been nicer, and scaled better. As it is, It looks ‘ok’ in the rendering but in real life I think it will be horrendous. It is trying to be Gehry-ish but without the budget it is just flat looking. I know it’s not finished yet, we’ll see, I’m not optimistic about this one.
Better than the traditional boxes. Street interaction is abysmal, but otherwise I like this.
