The Hilton Garden Inn at Denver Union Station is starting to make vertical progress. When we last visited this project, the underground levels were underway and the tower crane was just installed.
Present day, the concrete structure is two floors up with work beginning on the third. The hotel will be integrated and wrapped around the historic Hose Company No. 1 building, at the corner of 20th and Chestnut Street. We can now start to see the building wrapping around the historic structure.
Here are two additional photos from across 20th Street towards the Union Station North neighborhood.
With ten more floors to go, this project is going to add some significant height to this area of Union Station.
I’m very interested in seeing how they clean up the old fire station. Like, how they literally repair the old bricks and things. Really excited about this project.
Also – the change on this block (and the greater neighborhood) is incredible. I’m excited to see renderings of the new 12-story apartment tower going up just down the street on Huron.
Also, this plot of land to the west of the Hilton… do we have any idea if it will be apartment vs. condos? And any early hints at potential height?
There is a parking lot at 15th and Stout being cleared today (11/20-excavators on site). Anyone know what it is? I don;t see a project on the map listed.
It’s a 21-story dual-brand hotel. We have the details but are waiting on an official rendering before doing a post on it. Should be available soon… stay tuned.
