The new Circa Building at the corner of 16th and Platte in Lower Highland is so close to being finished that we are going to make this our final update on the project. Developed by Unico Properties and containing about 80,000 SF of offices and 10,000 SF of ground-floor restaurant/retail space, the Circa Building’s L-shaped design wraps around the circular ramp of the Highland Bridge and helps enclose the plaza at the base of the bridge. The Circa Building’s future ground-floor businesses will further activate an already lively pedestrian corner. For our previous posts on this project, click here.
Let’s start our photo tour of the new Circa Building! The corner of 16th and Platte:
The primary facade along Platte Street and where trees will soon be planted along generous sidewalk space:
The Circa Building and the historic Zang Building (also owned by Unico) bookend the public space at the base of the bridge:

With lots of brick and a design and scale that is harmonious with its historic neighbors, the Circa Building is a welcome addition to one of Downtown Denver’s most walkable streets!
nice bulding , will there be any landscape along the 1-25 side or just weeds like post of our freeways.
OMG, I laughed out loud at this comment. When I moved to Denver one of the first things I noticed is that there are so many weeds growing along the freeways. Even Phoenix (which is in a freaking desert) manages to do decent landscaping along it’s freeways.
I love the facade of this building, it’s both historic and modern! Platte 15 should add a similar feel to this street. Unico Properties just added another trophy asset to their Denver portfolio! Nicely done.
Exemplary design. Love it.
Wow. Gorgeous building. Now that’s good design.
Very nice! This, to me, is one of those rare instances where the final product actually looks better than what was in the renderings. The way the brick blends/transitions to glass was done very well. Bravo!
Love this building in every way. So nice to see. It makes my day.
Really fills the space next to the bridge nicely! Platte Street is looking good. If we can an only get rid of the fugly apartment buildings across the street and redevelop all of that into something of quality.
Looks like quality materials on every facade. Nicely executed.
