Camden RiNo is a five-story residential development that will bring 233 new homes to a full city block bounded by Walnut, 32nd, Larimer, and 33rd streets in Denver’s River North/Five Points area. In our first post on this project, site grading was just getting started. We stopped by there recently and took a few photos of the construction progress.
Here’s the view from 32nd and Walnut, followed by the view from 32nd and Larimer:
From 33rd Street, the Denver skyline rises above the Camden RiNo site:
In addition to the residential uses, Camden RiNo will also feature about 3,500 square feet of retail space and a landscaped courtyard at the corner of 33rd and Larimer.
Camden RiNo is scheduled to open in the summer of 2019.
The supporters of this included the RINO BID, RINO Art District, RINO Neighborhood Association, Matt Palmer of the Dry Ice Building, the entire City Council and the RINO District’s City Council Member. According to supporters there was going to be retail and conversations about how great this developer was going to be – promises don’t seem to be panning out on the ground floor Larimer side – this is seeming to be very disappointing more dead street scape where retail is needed.. When proposed conversations indicated market rate condos above but, now they are billed as apartments – more disappointing news. Jamie Licko supported this developer at the City Council Zoning Request Hearing for 5 stories by standing and actively raising her hand in support – there seems to be a disconnect on getting businesses on ground floors of these huge residential developments.
