Continuing on in the Golden Triangle, let’s stop by the Element Hotel. This project has started to go vertical as the concrete supports have started to go in for the first floor.
Given how many underutilized buildings and surface parking lots are concentrated between 13th and 14th Avenue in the Golden Triangle, a seven-story building will make a significant, positive impact on the neighborhood. Below are three photos of the project from the alley, and along Elati Street.
We will swing back around when the Element Hotel is a few floors up.
I presume they will be replacing the old parking spots with even more new parking spots in a structure? “Progress”
This is replacing an old auto repair facility, wouldn’t really say it was used previously for surface parking. Element Hotel will have a single floor of parking for valet. 72 spots for 157 hotel rooms.
A lot of development in Golden Triangle these days. It already feels much more dense than even five years ago.
I noted two soil exploration drill rigs today in the parking lot at the southwest corner of Acoma and 12th (south of the DAM Liebeskind Building). I also saw a rig last week in the parking lot to the southeast of this intersection (south of DAM condos). These are prime locations…any word on new projects here?
Holland Partners is planning a 17 story apartment tower at 12th & Acoma.
