A large apartment project is under construction in Jefferson Park. Argyle Residential, the same developers as the Delaware Lofts going up in the Golden Triangle, is building a 12-story, 248-unit apartment building at 2450 Alcott Street. To orient yourself, below is a map with the project site outlined.
As we mentioned above, Jefferson View is already under construction. A tower crane is up on the project site and the first level has been poured. Here are a few photos of the project site from Saturday. The first four floors will have a concrete structure, mostly for the parking deck, with eight floors of light gauge steel above for the residential portion.
Let’s wrap up with a rendering of Jefferson View, courtesy of Meeks Partners, the project’s architect.
Jefferson View is expected to start leasing August 2019 with rents from $1350 for 579 square feet to $2950 for 1,222 square feet; just below $2.50 per square foot.
That building will have amazing downtown views!
Great views, but also lots of freeway noise.
Nice addition to the neighborhood. Do you have any idea what is going on with the former LaLoma property? Heard a rumor that they are putting up a 30 story office building, which I hope is not true. That would be too much.
It’s supposed to be a 15-ish story apartment building but there’s been no info on the project in a long time.
Yeah, I am nervous that project may have bit the bullet and died. It’s too bad because the lot is not an eye sore now that the restaurant is gone.
I’ve heard just recently that it’s coming back. You’re right 15 stories part of which will be for-sale condos. Same developer as 2400 University which is just finishing up.
Pity they couldn’t build it a block over and taken out a huge parking lot.
