Let’s head over to Cherry Creek to visit a few projects. First on our list is UC Health Cherry Creek; a new five-story, 88,000 square foot healthcare project. With a good portion of underground parking, a lot of underground and excavation work had to be completed which took a significant bit of time.
Today, we are happy to see that it is now above the street level with both cores and steel going vertical. Here are a few photos from along East 1st Avenue.
The north side of East 1st Avenue, in this area of Cherry Creek, has always been a hodgepodge of strip malls, and low-rise office buildings. This project will help bring some urban form back to the area. Let’s wrap up with two more photos of the back side.
Since the primary structure above the street level will be steel, we can expect this to rise fairly quick. We will swing back around once it has topped out.
Nice development for 1st Avenue. I’d love to see the city invest more in 1st Avenue – make it a real avenue by putting in a center median with some landscaping/trees!
Damn, you guys really hate 9th and Colorado lol.
James, you’re more than welcome to take some photos for us ;). Joking aside, there’s SO much to cover and it’s on our list to photograph. Don’t worry, we’re getting to it!
