Another project going up in the Denargo Market area of River North is AMLI RiNo, a residential project that will provide a substantial amount of housing, totaling 390 units in a six-story building.
The project is just getting off the ground with work beginning on the first floor. Here are a few of photos from before the crazy mid-October snow storm hit.
In addition to some vertical action happening on the ground, a tower crane was also recently erected on the project site.
Denargo Market is going from a desolate area with a few apartment buildings to a developing urban area. We will come back in a few months to check on the progress of this and the previous project we visited.
Nice, but are they ever going to build any apartments that aren’t thousands of dollars a month?
Why would they?
So people with regular jobs can afford to live there.
Supply and demand, homie. No reason to build cheap apartments if it’s ultimately more profitable to build expensive ones.
It’s not financially feasible in a city where land prices increase every day and construction costs do the same.
