When we covered 930 15th Street, now known as The Link, back in May, renovations were underway with the old facade removed. Work has quickly progressed as glass is now starting to go up. Let’s start with some close-ups of The Link including photos of the new glass. When looking back at the rendering, you will notice that a more clear and muted type of glass being used the lower portion of the project neighboring the Telephone Building. The rest of the building will feature the blue patterned glass.
Looking the other direction, towards Lower Downtown, you can see how this once filler building will stand out a lot more and provide a nice contrast to both the Telephone Building and Denver Gas and Electric Building.
Upon completion, this project will feature approximately 223,000 square feet of office space along with a new lobby and outdoor rooftop terrace. We’ll swing by again when the blue glass starts going up.
They are putting up the “what should be blue” part now. It is not blue. Will they add tinting later?
This is a unique structure, I cannot wait to see the finished product!
AWESOME
Any news on the redevelopment of the old Cottrell’s building on the 16th Street Mall.
Like to see a tall office tower or hotel there.
Tall enough to hide the ugly side of the Dominion Plaza Towers
