The skyline directly north of Downtown Denver hasn’t seen a taller building in many years. Over the past development cycles, this area of downtown has been dominated by mid-rise buildings, which is in no way a bad thing, but it is exciting to see a 22-story building starting to climb on the northern skyline.
As you can see in the photo above, X Denver 2 is starting to show from a distance, and it still has 13 floors to go. Here are a few more photos showing the building up close.
With multiple buildings over 20 stories in the works on the northern end of downtown, this view will start to change, giving the skyline a nice taper mixed with modern architecture.
And we will soon forget all about Katerra. This was one of the their projects.
This project has… two parking spaces? If I’m reading the site development plan right? Incredible!
Watching it. 🙂 Love to see the cranes. I can remember when, for years at a time, there were none. And I will continue to think it’s unfortunately boring that something taller, sleek, ambitious with more of a feminine energy doesn’t dwarf that brown 54 story thing behind it.
There is movement again on 650 17h Street. Possibly over 100 stories.
Yaaayyyy!
Is there a source for this?
