The eighth tower crane in River North was recently assembled for the One River North project. In less than three months, this project went from speculation, if it’s under construction, to a full-on construction site with a tower crane.
Here are a couple of pictures of the new tower crane taken from the 38th and Blake commuter rail pedestrian bridge.
Excavation for the underground parking structure is underway. Below are a few recent photos from this weekend.
It is incredibly exciting to see this project underway. In addition, with many more projects breaking ground in River North (more to come on those), there is a possibility of having up to a dozen tower cranes up at the same time in this neighborhood.
So very excited to see these projects at the Northern end of RiNo kicking off. It was very worrying when WTC pulled out. Train and Rock Drill would be the capstone to this part of the neighborhood if they could finally get moving. Looking forward to updates on other new upcoming projects!
