Last week, we announced that Holland Partner Group started work on a new 8-story project at 2950 Arkins Court. At the time of the post, the renderings for the project were pulled from the construction permit. The renderings showed the massing of the building and a basic view of the materials and facade.
Thanks to Cazes of Engine 8 Architecture, the project’s architect, we now have some great, high-resolution renderings to share of this project. The red brick and dark paneling contrast nicely and fit the theme for River North.
The two renderings below are slightly older but still give a good idea of the massing and how this project will integrate with the RiNo Promenade.
The development and investment in River North just keeps on going!
The ally behind this building is brick-laid, I wonder if there will be any activation of that space / how this building will integrate with the retail behind it. Currently, it is a drive-able street – I’d hope that doesn’t persist! The developer deserves some kudos for going ahead with this project without securing the full lot, which includes a mens shelter, now owned by the City, that has been praised for its service and would be sorely missed by those who rely on it.
Could not be more excited to see what Golub/Formativ dream up on their lot, the odd shape and lack of street frontage creates an interesting dilemma for the planners. Really a shame that there is very little potential for seeing any for-sale property in RiNo’s developments, as i am aging out of renting, and selfishly want to stay in RiNo there are very few viable options for me to stay here. I have high hopes that the redevelopment of Pepsi will include a similar development to the LakeHouse out by sloans!
A RiverWalk could be big draw for this area if done well. Jimmy – I’ll likely be selling my Loft in RiNo soon. If you’re in the market – let me know.
The cherry on top would be if Arkins was closed to cars and became a pedestrian promenade. Plenty of other roads and entry points for the residents to access the garage.
