The amount of development getting underway in River North is nothing short of amazing. Over at 35th Street and Chestnut Place, a block south of The Current, a new 12-story project named “Flora” is now underway. Flora is a mixed-use development featuring 92 apartment homes, with approximately 7,500 square feet of office space and 7,900 square feet of retail. 102 parking spaces are also included in this development. Flora was originally slated to be condos however, due to the pandemic, it will now consist of all rental apartments.

I hope the South Platte River Trail gets more on/off ramps as there will surely be a huge need with all of this development!
No need to worry, directly adjacent to this project, the RiNo Promenade is under construction and will give plenty of access points to the trail below.
Curious if you have more context — why would the pandemic now cause the ownership to shift gears and provide apartment rentals vs. for-sale condos? What is the correlation?

Whatever happened to the ped bridge that was supposed to be built at 35th? I remember dropping my pup off here when Mile Hi Mutts was in business. Nothing around it but the police vehicle garage and some vacant lots.
That was another failed promise by the Zeppelins to build the 35th st pedestrian bridge. It was supposed to be funded and built by them, but the city didn’t give them as much help as they wanted. That’s probably why they basically funded and ran all of Jamie Giellis’ campaign to run for mayor so she’d favor their developments
I love the curved corners, it gives it a nice organic and natural look. The parking screen is also subtle and really highlights the chamfered corner entrance! Nice job Studio Completiva!
