The area between Broadway and Lincoln has always been interesting, with urban density sandwiched between two significant arterial streets. This strip of land, especially north of 6th Avenue, has had a trickle of development over the past couple of decades, but seeing more come to the area is always exciting. The one project under construction on this median-between-arterials is the Sports Castle Lofts, which is well underway between 10th and 11th Avenue, sandwiched between Broadway and Lincoln.
The Sports Castle Lofts is up eight stories, just over the halfway point of the total 15 stories it will rise. Even at its current height, the project has a significant presence along Broadway.
Here are a few additional photos of the project showing the concrete structure and how it sits next to its historic neighbor, the Sports Castle.
After several renditions, seeing this project finally get out of the ground and provide much-needed density along Broadway is excellent. This project will help make Broadway a more vibrant and walkable stretch of road.

Thanks, for the update, I’m watching this part of Broadway evolve with great interest. I thought 2,800 SF retail looked light, but it might be a good restaurant/pub space with so much new residential going in.
Thanks for the update on this project. Broadway will look very different in a few years. Any update on the state of Denver Moves and the Broadway Central Grand Boulevard – Between 9th Avenue and 19th Street (see DOTI website)? I am hoping some of these project will move forward because Broadway is an abomination with its 4 lanes (although good point for the bus lane).
Thank you for all of the work put into this site. This Denver construction nerd is always checking in for updates. I don’t live in Denver any longer but I’m always interested in what’s going on and up!
I can’t believe how fast this building is going up. I saw the Keith Haring exhibit at the Sports Castle just a year ago and I don’t think the construction had started yet. Can’t wait for my next visit.
I’m actually bummed by this project. Completely killing afternoon sunlight in a large stretch of residential area east of it. Just another eye sore of an apartment building ruining the views of the front range
