There is a lot of construction activity going on around the core of Downtown Denver. For this “Downtown Roundup”, we will be covering Upper Downtown, Central Downtown, and Lower Downtown.

UNDER CONSTRUCTION

Market Station. Market Station is one of the best and more important infill projects going up in Lower Downtown. This near full-block development is coming together nicely with a good portion of the brick facade now complete. Expected completion for Market Station is Q2 2020.

The Fitzgerald. Taking up an entire half block of surface parking, The Fitzgerald will breathe a new life into this block of Market Street. The building is now up to the level where the setbacks will begin. It will rise a total of 11 stories.

Thompson Hotel. Another key project along the 16th Street Mall is under construction. Work on the Thompson Hotel is currently underground but should be breaking the ground-level soon.

Hyatt Centric. This 14-story hotel fills in a small gap in an already dense part of Downtown Denver. Currently, the underground levels are under construction.

930 15th Street. The facade replacement and renovation for this building is now underway. Sidewalk barriers are up, and the applicable permits to start construction have been filed with the city.

Block 162. We recently covered this project in a more detailed post. Head on over here to see the update.

McGregor Square. McGregor Square topped out and we have a post celebrating it here.

PROPOSED

Marriott Denver Downtown. Based on the permits filed with the city, we can hope that this will break ground within the next couple of months. We will make sure to announce the start of construction. For the time being, here are a few new renderings. The architect of record is Stantec.

1420 Wynkoop. We announced an exciting update to this project three weeks ago. It is currently going through the permitting process with the city. A groundbreaking date is still unknown.

18th and Glenarm Condos. A few permits have been filed with the city since its last announcement; however, there are no physical signs of this project moving forward just yet.

Downtown Denver is still seeing a significant amount of development which will continue to improve our urban core.

A special note to our readers – DenverInfill will be migrating web hosts over the next week or so. We will not be posting any content until the migration is complete. Next time we post an update, we will be on a new, better, and more improved web host. See you then!
