A large project, named Park 17, in City Park West is starting to go vertical. Park 17 is an eight-story, 190-unit apartment building, that will be taking up a prominent corner on 17th Avenue and Park Avenue while providing 14,000 square feet of retail along “restaurant row.”

When we announced the project back in April, excavation was just getting started. Now, excavation is complete, a tower crane has been erected, and Park 17 is starting to go vertical. Below are two photos of the new tower crane.

Moving in closer to the site, we can see that the excavation process is complete and the foundation is starting to go in. This project site is a little tricky to navigate due to the unique shape of the parcel. The two photos below are looking at the northwest side of the project. This corner has no underground level, and the first floor has started to go up.

The rest of the project site is still underground with parking ramps, for the underground parking, and foundation going in.

Park 17 is a unique looking project that will add a splash of something different to the Park Avenue corridor. Head on over to our announcement post for a rendering refresher.
