Here on DenverInfill, we geek out over tower cranes so it’s very fitting to do a post celebrating more tower cranes coming to the Downtown area. This time, three tower cranes have recently been erected; one in Lower Downtown and two in Uptown.
Let’s start the post with taking a look at the new crane in Lower Downtown. This yellow top-slewing crane belongs to the fantastic Market Station project. Because of the size of the project, we should see another crane, or two, at this project site in the future.
The next two cranes are quite the sight to be had. Two luffing jib cranes (we have a great description of them in this post) towering over Uptown, are helping build the 17th and Pearl apartments.
These tower cranes will be a fine addition to our Summer 2018 tower crane census!
Why don’t you ever update anything on 9th and Colorado when that’s a big location of a new crane? I feel like you just don’t like this project so refuse to update/comment on the tall crane Kewit just put over there.
Kenny, there is so much construction and we are trying our best to cover everything. This is a volunteer effort and we will get out to 9th and Colorado as quick as we can. Thank you!
Shenanigans! #DenverInfillHatesConstruction
Kenny — I’d love to see an update on 9th & Colorado too! You should go take pictures, post them online, and put a link to the photos here along with a detailed commentary. Or are you going to refuse to do that because you don’t like the 9th and Colorado project?
Why does Kenny hate this 9th and Colorado project?
Just a thought, it would be cool to have an ‘active projects’ tab. There is getting to be so many developments underway that it’s hard to remember everything. This tab could solve that and give an idea of what areas of Denver and what kind of developments are in high demand.
Check the Project Map under the Special Features tab. There is even a 9th & Colorado link.
