After being a hole in the ground for a significant amount of time, Vantage at 7th and Grant is now starting to go vertical. As a refresher, this project will eventually rise eight stories and provide 176 apartment units to the Capitol Hill neighborhood. When we last visited this project just over a year ago, it was just getting started.
While uncommon for new apartment buildings in Denver, this project appears to be utilizing steel as its primary structure over a concrete base. Because of this, we should see this building rise fairly quick.
It’s great to see this project going vertical above the street level. At eight stories, it will have quite an impact around this area of Capitol Hill!
Saving older homes vs new homes.
Ken I have a question about this.
It’s the Curry House at 1431 Court PL.
It’s a historic site surrounded by large parking lots. It would be great commercial office development there.
My question is it economically feasible to move a house like this to 9th st. in Auraria or to remove it brick by brick and rebuild it at another location.
Would like your views on it.
Thank you
I think it would be feasible, particularly if the community agreed it was a priority.
